Mental health has joined the ranks of one of the top few key challenges facing our nation. The pandemic has helped surface deep mental health issues among people in Singapore. A recent survey by the National University of Singapore, Education Ministry and Institute of Mental Health revealed that about one in three youth in Singapore has mental health symptoms.
Christians are not spared and are facing the same challenges. Very often there is a lack of understanding of the spiritual perspective versus medical/counselling perspective on mental health.
We are privileged to have Rev. Dr. Tan Siang-Yang, Senior Professor of Clinical Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary in California to share with us on the Holy Spirit in Counseling, Psychotherapy and Deliverance Ministries. He is also Senior Pastor Emeritus of First Evangelical Church Glendale, Southern California.
The hybrid meeting will be in person at Katong Village Hotel as well as via zoom. Registration is required and will be on a 'first come first served' basis due to capacity limitations for both in-person meeting (50 pax) as well as zoom meeting.
